Two and a half weeks in...

to being a mommy!

What an experience they have been! I feel like I am getting used to a schedule/in sync with Landon. He is a very good and easy baby! The first two weeks he slept, A LOT! Now it seems like he is on his own eating schedule which is about every three hours. At his last doctors appointment his pediatrician said he could sleep 4-4.5 hours so at night I fall asleep hoping that's the case, unfortunately his hungry alarm goes off before my feeding alarm. I am getting used to the extreme exhaustion. Although beyond tired I love being a mommy. I love knowing that I would do ANYTHING for that little boy, ANYTHING! There have been so many precious moments - when he smiles, when he stares at me, when something in the room catches his attention. It's all so magical to watch him experience life!

Landon is gaining weight and eating like a champ! He holds his head up for a minute or so at a time - he continues to impress me with his strength. He has a play mat that I put him under (pic below) that keeps him entertained for about 15 minutes. Sometimes Gabbie goes and lays with him! Other than that he spends majority of his time in my arms or in his bassinet. So far my favorite things have been the steam sterilizer bags, "The Lawn" drying rack (plus it makes a pile of bottles, breast pump accessories, ect. look cute!) and both of our favorites is definitely the wipes warmer!

Below there is a side-by-side pic of Landon at 36.5 weeks gestation and at two days old. It's amazing how well technology captured what he looked like!

His most recent stats at two weeks old were 7lbs 4ozs (he was down to 5lbs 13ozs at one point) and 20.75 inches

Introducing...

Landon Dimitri

Hard to believe that one week ago today, on July 10th, Landon came into my life. I have been savoring every moment and can not believe how fast it has gone by. He was born at 7:00PM, weighing 6lbs 9ozs, 19 inches and is perfectly precious! I am beyond elated and more in love than I could have ever imagined!

I had a very quick and easy delivery, literally pushed three times, and he was here! It was the most amazing experience, words can not even begin to describe! It by far has been the best blind date! The best part is knowing that he's mine to keep and it teaches you about a completely different level of love you can have for someone! Truly magical!

I will be updating you on how things are going with Landon, my favorite things as a mom, his favorite things as a baby and any other fun baby things I can think of!

I am also working on a new project, so stay tuned!

Made it to 39 Weeks...

I am surprised I am posting this week! After the last Doctors appointment I had, I was certain that LB's arrival would be days away! And even more so at my last appointment this past Monday. Even my Doctor is shocked I'm still pregnant! LB is looking great as am I - so I have been doing EVERYTHING I can think of to try and speed things up! At this point it's almost funny! In the meantime I guess I'm getting a head-start on my post baby exercise routine since I have been very active this last week. I am feeling great and still, surprisingly, very comfortable! Good news is that at this point, we are only days away from holding this precious boy! I am so excited! I can't even begin to describe what I am feeling!
Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful Independence Day!!

Best moment this week? Again, the Doctor saying that we are really close!

Movement: Although he has slowed down A LOT he still manages to move around in there.

Food cravings: Strawberry lemonade!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope

Gender: Precious Baby Boy!

Labor signs: Yes, but nothing that has been consistent for any length of time.

Belly Button in or out? Flat

Happy or Moody? Can't even begin to explain how happy and excited I am!
