Trick or Treat!

I can't believe Halloween is less than a week away! This weekend the local Mommy Organization we belong to put on a "Trick or Treat" morning where the little kiddo's could get dressed up and grab some sweet goodies. So this morning that is exactly where we headed!
Landon loved going into the small businesses and picking out his own candy and putting it in his bag. He was such a trooper! And oh so stinkin' cute!!!
I also found out that when I leave him with his bag of candy - he can, and will open them :0

Pumpkin Patch

What a difference a year makes! This time last year Landon wasn't even walking and this year he ran all over the place. Although there were a lot of pumpkins, farm animals and things to play on he had the best time running around. He is so into exploring and it is amazing to watch him find excitement in the little things... like throwing hay!
He keeps a constant smile on my face :)

Hello Fall!

I can't believe it's Fall! I have to admit the summer is my favorite time of year. How can you beat laying out in the warm sun, working on your tan while sipping a blended cocktail?! Fall definitely comes in second though. It means football has started and the Holiday's are just around the corner. For me that means decorating, an excuse to go shopping (not that I needed one) and lots and lots of baking and cooking!

We still have Landon's 15 month appointment to go to so I don't have his updated stats, but he is doing great! He is talking up a storm saying all kinds of words. He has become an expert at copying the things we do. He has an endless supply of energy and sometimes that parlays into a stubborn tantrum because he does not always get what he wants... but I guess thats all part of it. Although it's far from funny, sometimes I can't help but laugh!

We have been out and about a lot! We have been to baseball games, football games, taking little trips and spending a lot of time on the go. I promise I'll get better at updating the blog. I'm hoping with the cooler weather we will find more creative activities indoors! :)

There is a lot of exciting stuff going on and I hope to be able to share it all soon!

We woke up to an incredibly cold morning today. The air was still and the sun was shinning... it was a perfect fall morning! So off to the park we went!

Landon is One Photo Shoot

I love getting this face photographed! I am now looking back at his newborn, three, six and nine month pics and am so happy I have them. I can not believe a year has gone by so fast and my sweet little baby is now a precious little boy. He has grown up so much! Today at the grocery store he said "Hi!" and "Bye" to everyone that walked by our cart. People would stop and talk to him and he would talk right back - some words, some babble. He makes me smile so much my cheeks hurt every day! He is such an incredible little being and I can not (but I totally can) wait to watch him continue to grow into the person he will become!

And how cute is this face!?!

Birdie, Bogey, Hole-In-One! Landon Turned ONE!

Well a little over a month after the event isn't too bad! There has been so much going on and the summer is flying by! I wanted to share a few photo's from Landon's First Birthday Par-Tee. I figured he'll only turn one once so mind as well have a big party (who am I kidding, I'll take any excuse to throw a big party)!

I decided to do a golf theme. I wanted to do something different that wasn't completely played out within our group of friends so golf it was!

The Birthday Party was held at a local Country Club close to where we live and they did a wonderful job! See other details below the pictures. I can't wait until (well, actually I can) he turns two! Thank you so very much to everyone who helped make Landon's party a success! Especially my mom who spent many late nights with me making sure all the details I had envisioned were perfect! And now I want to go order another cake to eat!

This is the favor table! The chalkboard is a few of my favorite pictures of Landon from the time he was born until just a few days before the party. We also passed out visors, water bottles and some yummy green candy with golfing ribbon tied around them.

I made sure that there was plenty for all the kiddo's to do. We set up a mini golf course,  a "chip and putt" station as well as had a bunch of toy golf clubs and balls floating around.

We served organic "green" salad, "club" sandwiches, apple "slices," orange "wedges" amoung some other goodies!

This cake was beyond yummy!

Landon's cake was made especially for him eliminating the ingredients that he has an FPIES reaction to :)

Twelve Months/One Year Stats!

This little boy has stolen my heart! The last year has been incredible! He has truly turned into such a sweet, kind, inquisitive and energetic little boy! Landon is down right amazing! At his twelve month appointment he weighed in at 20 pounds five ounces and is 30 3/4 inched tall (I love that it's height now, not length)! He is a skinny little guy but the doctor said not to worry, it's most likely because of his FPIES and not being able to eat foods that would otherwise bulk him up. We have found several 'safe' foods and he has been doing really well. We actually went almost a month without having to go to the Emergency Department. His favorite food right now is definitely strawberries and watermelon. He also loves graham crackers (how awesome is it that I can give him HoneyMaid Graham Crackers?!), oh the little things. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he outgrows FPIES in the next six months as most with FPIES do. The last episode was different from the rest so I hope that is a sign that it might be getting better.
Landon is past walking and is now running! I think I dropped five pounds as soon as walking was his preferred method of getting around. He loves going to the park and running around. And loves being outside in general. His new favorite activity is walking the dogs. He insists on holding the leash, I'm not sure how thrilled the dogs are about it but it sure is adorable to watch!
He is by far the most cuddly baby I've ever heard of. He loves giving hugs and is quite content snuggling the evenings away while reading books. He is talking more and more and is getting really good about saying words, when you ask him to say them. He also points to things he knows and will say what it is, "doggie," "truck," "rock," "ball," and so many more! He also loves waving hello and saying "buh-bye" to everyone as they walk away. He melts me!

One Year Old

Waking up as a ONE YEAR OLD! (or soon to be at 7:00pm)

Well it happened, July 10th came and my precious boy turned ONE! He slept in until almost 9:00 which is extremely unusual, but it gave me time to have everything perfect for him. We sung Happy Birthday as we walked down the stairs and he was instantly enamored with all of his balloons. He could care less about anything else and kept saying "ba-woons! ba-woons!" It was the cutest thing ever!

Then if was off for a busy day!

Our first stop... his twelve months check up.

Landon is doing great and growing just as every little boy should! He is a long and a really lean little guy, but we attribute that to his FPIES. He still breastfeeds and gets about 60% of his intake form breast milk. I am so fortunate that we are still able to continue nursing! He has hit all of his milestones ahead of schedule and continues to impress everyone around him! I will post his stats and more about his appointment with his 'One Year' board. After a couple of shots (I know I know, who takes their baby to get shots on their Birthday... eeesh!) we were off to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

I was so excited to take him to the Boardwalk. I spent so much of my time as a kid there I couldn't wait to take Landon. I was a little worried he wouldn't like it, but he LOVED it! He loved watching all the people, going on the rides and just had and all around, great time! Not to mention a great nap on our way home!

When we got home it was time to play with some of his new toys...

Then a bath and he was off to bed! I still can't believe a year has gone by! The time keeps going by faster and faster. But as it goes by I fall more and more in love with him. He is becoming such a little person with the best and sweetest personality ever! I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to be with him every day!
