Landon's First Christmas

Landon's first Christmas was absolutely wonderful! So many people said he's to young to really enjoy it but he had a blast. He loved staring at the tree, all the lights and ornaments, and he loved the shiny packages under the tree as well!
On Christmas Eve we spent the most of the day with my brother and sister-in-law. We watched the babies open their presents and to my surprise Landon was totally in to ripping his presents open! I'm not sure if it was grabbing at the shiny paper or the paper going into his mouth but he loved it! Sheila, my SIL made an amazing dinner then we headed home. I put Landon in front of the tree and he almost started shaking with excitement! He couldn't wait to open his presents! I put him to bed then shortly after Santa came!
Landon woke up Christmas morning with the biggest smile on his face. We went out to the living room and he immediately started pulling apart his stocking then it was onto his presents. The best part was just watching him. This was truly the best Christmas! As much as I want him to stay my little baby forever I know each year will get better and better as he starts to understand the real meaning of Christmas and all the fun festive traditions that go along with it.
I spent the majority of today taking down the tree and all the decorations. Looking back on these pictures made me happy to have experienced such a special first with my baby. As the new year is quickly approaching, I can't wait for all the new things and new beginnings that await us.

Almost crawling!

As Christmas approaches the homemade sweet treats are being made on overdrive! I am such a sucker for candy! The house is decorated and Landon has a plethora of cute Christmas outfits! The other day I put him down to sit on the floor with a book in front of him. As he reeeeeached for that book he got into the crawling position. He didn't make it very far, but I think my little guy might be crawling before I know it! Here are a couple of cute pics from the last few days. I will be sure to post a bunch of us celebrating Christmas as well!

Five Months

Today marks Landon's fifth month of being my little angel. These last few weeks have been so much fun! Shortly after he turned four months he started sitting up on his own. He was wobbly at first but is now very steady and loves to sit up and play with his toys. I put a couple of apps on my old iPad for him and he loves interacting with them. He is extremely inquisitive and seems to absorb everything that is going on around him. 

We went to the doctors today for his well baby check. Landon is still in the 95th percentile for height at 27 inches and is in the 45th percentile for weight at 15 lbs 6 ounces. He got two shots and did pretty good, I am now the one that has a hard time since he has tears now. It breaks my heart to see my baby  cry :-( Overall everything is wonderful. It is surreal to watch him grow and explore. Being his mom is truly the best thing ever! I am sooooooo in LOVE!

Some Fun Holiday Pictures

There has been so much going on these last few weeks and the fun chaos will continue until the end of the year! I love all the holiday parties and most importantly the cooking and baking! Landon has his five month well baby check on Monday. I'm so excited to see how much he has grown, I feel like he had a major growth spurt this last month. I will post his stats and five month pic on Monday but in the meantime I thought I would post a bunch of cute pics to show you what we've been up to!

I had so much fun doing his handprint. It is now hanging on our tree and it will be so fun to compare his handprints in the years to come!

Tis the Season!

I am so excited that Christmas is right around the corner! I seriously go crazy decorating and am baking a yummy treat just about every day! We went and got our Christmas tree on Tuesday so it is up and decorated and the house is almost done. I am having so much fun with my baby! I love dressing him up in all his holiday outfits. He loves staring at all the Christmas lights, I think there are 1200 lights on our tree alone!

Landon's First Thanksgiving!

I am so excited for today! The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is just starting and the cooking and baking it about to get underway! As a little girl I would always watch the parade and now my little boy gets to do the same! My favorite part was always seeing Santa at the end! The smells of all the baking and cooking were always a plus too!
