Tis the Season!

I am so excited that Christmas is right around the corner! I seriously go crazy decorating and am baking a yummy treat just about every day! We went and got our Christmas tree on Tuesday so it is up and decorated and the house is almost done. I am having so much fun with my baby! I love dressing him up in all his holiday outfits. He loves staring at all the Christmas lights, I think there are 1200 lights on our tree alone!

Landon's First Thanksgiving!

I am so excited for today! The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is just starting and the cooking and baking it about to get underway! As a little girl I would always watch the parade and now my little boy gets to do the same! My favorite part was always seeing Santa at the end! The smells of all the baking and cooking were always a plus too!

....and I am so excited for CHRISTMAS!!! Let the decorating begin!

So many new things!

I can't believe how many things Landon is able to do these last few weeks! He's been rolling over form time to time (sometimes intentional and sometimes not :-)) but only from his tummy to his back. For a little over two weeks he has been able to hold on to his toys (watch out, he throws them too!) which makes playing with his teether toys much easier. He is laughing all the time and when I say laughing, I mean a real good, belly laugh! It is the best noise ever! He is constantly smiling so it doesn't surprise me that he has an abundance of laughter. He is extremely talkative and making all sorts of noises, and of course, as his mom I swear I've heard "mom!" I know it's just coincidence but it's still pretty cool! It seems like he's really feeling out textures and pays attention to different noises, he is enamored with so many of his toys and takes so much in when we're out and about.
His sleep schedule has been good until he caught a little cold a few days ago. He's not quite sleeping through the night but he does sleep for six hours strait - I'm not complaining! Just about a week ago he started to sit up on his own. He would sit up before but fall over within seconds. But now he can sit up for minutes at a time (when I say sit up it's more of a "tripod"). I'm pretty impressed with my four month old! There is so much of me that wants him to stay an itty bitty baby forever but it is so magical watching learn and explore new things! Being a mommy is beyond what I could have ever imagined it to be!

Four Months

Is it even possible? Have I really been a mommy for four months? There have been so many precious moments. I wish I could video tape every second of our lives so I can always look back and see what we were up to. Fortunately I have thousands of pictures, minutes upon minutes of baby coo's and babbling recorded and what I am sure is now hours of video of all things baby!

Landon is doing great! We had his four month well baby check up earlier this week. He now weighs 14 pounds 4 ounces and is 26.5 inches long (I just saw that I put 26 on the board, ooops!). That puts him in the 90th percentile for height and 45 percentile for weight. He has been rolling over for a few weeks now and at times still startles himself doing so. He can now hold his toys as he chews on them and manages to get just about everything he can get his hands on in his mouth, including Gabbie's tail (you'd think by now with all the pulling of her hair she would stay away from him but, no). He loves hanging out in his bouncy toys and now sits in his high-chair when I'm in the kitchen cooking. He is quite the talkative little guy. Even if he is just laying on his play mat he always seems to be sputtering out his baby words, its too cute!
The last couple of days have been really cold. Its been fun dressing him up in his warm cozy clothes. I can't wait to take him to the snow!

Three Months/Fall Photos

There are so many great pictures from this session, well two sessions. Eva came over to take Landon's three months pictures/fall photos and we got about 15 minutes into it before Landon decided he was not in the mood to have his picture taken. However, the next day he was in a great mood and she was able to capture some great moments. It's hard to believe he'll be four months old in just a few days. He is getting so big and is changing so much! He is so much fun and I am so incredibly lucky to have him as my son. My love for him is indescribable and it just keeps getting better and better!
