A fun little tidbit... the yellow bunny was mine when I was a baby. It has a wind up music box in it that put me to sleep many nights! The Blue Dog, which was a gift from my mom to him, also has a music box in it and now helps Landon fall asleep. I love that he has something of mine from when I was a baby!

Landon's Nursery
The wait is over! Landon's chair arrived today and with the exception of one small item the nursery is complete! It is my new favorite room in the house. It very much reflects things that both his dad and myself love and incorporates it all into a little boys room! I am still missing the "O" for his name, but even without the "O" I am still in love with the outcome. I had so much fun decorating Landon's room! I can't wait to redecorate the next room!

Nine Weeks, Three Days and Teething??
Is this even possible?? I took Landon in for his well baby check and vaccinations yesterday. I am happy to report that this little man is growing!! When talking with his Doctor, I was telling him that Landon has been fussy (he is usually not a fussy baby - knocking on wood now), is gnawing on my shoulder when I hold him and drooling (which he has never done). Well sure enough he is teething. Good news is that it will often be like this for a few days then let up for a while.
On another note, my numbers on the board were a little off. Landon has impressed everyone with how much he is growing! Especially this last month. He is a 100% breastfed baby and eats a lot, let me tell you - A LOT! So I wasn't surprised when he gained almost two pounds and grew over two inches. These numbers put him in the 75th percentile for height and 40th percentile for weight. It will be interesting to see what the numbers are next month!
Birth One Month Two Months
6lbs 9ozs 9lbs 4ozs 11lbs 3ozs
19 inches 21 1/2 inches 24 3/4 inches
He did great with his shots! A quick little cry when they pricked the skin but he went right back to his perma-smile instantly! Unfortunately, later in the day he was uncomfortable and wasn't my normal happy boy but sure enough he woke up this morning smiling as usual! We cuddled with Gabbie for a while in bed before I took her in for her surgery :-( Positive thoughts for my sweet puppy, she needs surgery on her knee.
On a separate note, the second to the last delivery for Landon's nursery will be here on Wednesday! So with the exception of one small item his nursery will be complete! I will do my best to post pics on Wednesday!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Two months... oh my!
Although it only feels like two weeks - my precious boy is two months old! As I hold back the tears because I can not believe how fast this time is going, I am also overcome with emotion because I truly LOVE being this little boys mommy! It's hard to imagine loving him anymore than I do today, but when I wake up tomorrow, I will. It just keeps getting better and better!
Landon has his two month well baby check later this week and I'm assuming all will be great. He continues to eat well and grow out of all of his adorable little outfits. He is smiling ALL OF THE TIME! His personality is coming out and he is so much fun!
Looks like the nursery will be complete next week so stay tuned for pictures!

My precious boy is seven weeks!
I think time just keeps going by faster and faster. When I was pregnant and people asked how far along I was, I always leaned on the father along side. If I was 32 weeks and three days I would say 33 weeks. Now when I'm out and people ask how old my baby is, I lean on the younger side. Today I'm going with he's just over a month! Not really, but I sure do love every mili-moment with him!
I am having so much fun being a mommy! It truly is the coolest and best job in the world! Okay, I probably wouldn't give you that answer when I'm up feeding him in the middle of the night. ;-) But honestly it just keeps getting better!
Landon is doing wonderful. He continues to grow out of his cute clothes daily {tears}. He is actually wearing some six months clothes! He doesn't fill them out width wise but is length wise. It will be interesting to see what his stats are at his next doctor's appointment. He is not quite sleeping through the night but is getting close. He goes to sleep around 8:30 - 9pm and wakes up at 2:30 - 3, back to sleep until about 6, then back to sleep until 8:30 - 9. He takes a few naps during the day. However they are usually only 20 - 30 minutes, soour my days are pretty busy. He continues to change by the minute, I swear! He is smiling all the time! He completely melts me!!!
I will be posting pics of his nursery soon, just waiting on a couple of backordered items. That's what I get for waiting until after he is born to do his nursery!
Here are some pictures of my sweet boy! And as always you can follow me on Instragram at @emilylongacre.

Newbie Session
On July 15th, five days after Landon arrived, Eva came over to take his newborn photos. We played with my sleeping baby putting him in all sorts of precious poses for hours and got some wonderful pictures! What I should mention is that in order to keep a naked baby warm, we did not use the air conditioning on one hot day! We all had a wonderful time and I am ever so grateful to Eva for capturing some very touching and precious moments!

One month... is it even possible???
When people said to enjoy every moment because it goes by fast, they were not kidding! I cannot believe that a month ago today I was welcoming my baby boy into the world. I find myself teary eyed writing this because as much I love seeing him progress and develop, I can't help but want him to stay this little forever!
The last month has been sublime! What a phenomenal experience being a mommy is! Everything from the things NO ONE tells you about (the icky stuff), to the first time you see your baby smile - it has been an experience that I have loved and will cherish forever!
Landon is doing great! After he was born he had jaundice and it took a little over a week before he was in the clear. Now he is eating just about every other hour and is gaining weight and growing like crazy! He is sleeping in longer periods (so happy!) and is very alert and strong for one month old. He loves being on his tummy and holds his head up so well! He is such a strong little guy! He has a few favorite things that he loves so I have listed them below.
As for me, I'm doing great! I feel like I am completely recovered from the delivery. I did have a very easy labor and delivery so I'm guessing that helps a TON. I was very lucky in that I only pushed three times and he was here! No hours of pushing, no pain (epidurals are the most wonderful things ever!) and most importantly no ripping - just a couple of what the Doctor called "abrasions." I am only four pounds away from my pre-baby weight without even trying (yay breast feeding!), but I have a long way to go in the toning department. I feel like my tummy has bounced back wonderfully but it is very soft. As jolting and disheartening some of the effects of having a baby are, I wouldn't change anything. I am a mom and that trumps everything! It truly is the greatest job in the world!
So... a few of our favorite things!
Landon absolutely loves his mamaRoo! He loves hanging out in it when he's awake and, as an added bonus, it usually puts him to sleep!
So far his favorite toy is his DragonFly. Not sure what it is about this toy specifically but it keeps him fascinated the longest.
He also loves spending time on/under his Treetop Friends Activity Mat. I posted a pic of him laying on it last post as well.
And last but not least... he loves his bath time! The 4moms tub is amazing! It fits over the kitchen sink, has an LED display that tells you the exact temperature of the water and a big foamy backrest that keeps him very comfy! He always sleeps longer right after a bath! Sorry, no pic that won't make him hate me later in life! ;-)
1. My Medela Freestyle Breast Pump - This has been amazing! It is small and portable and works great!
2. Medela Nipple Sheilds - these are awesome and are a saving grace when it comes to breast feeding!
3. Mustela Cream - I swear this stuff has allowed me not a single stretch mark, therefore I continue to use it as my body gets back to its original state.
4. I'm also going to credit Aquaphor for clearing up a minor diaper rash almost instantly and preventing any further ones!
5. Aden + Anais Swaddle Wraps and Burpy Bibs - I am addicted to these! So much so that I think I have every "boy" color/collection they make! They are light weight but warm enough to keep him comfy in these warm days we've been having.
Sorry for such a long post! I have so much more to share too! Check back later for pics from his newbie session and I will be posting pics of his nursery soon...

Two and a half weeks in...
to being a mommy!
What an experience they have been! I feel like I am getting used to a schedule/in sync with Landon. He is a very good and easy baby! The first two weeks he slept, A LOT! Now it seems like he is on his own eating schedule which is about every three hours. At his last doctors appointment his pediatrician said he could sleep 4-4.5 hours so at night I fall asleep hoping that's the case, unfortunately his hungry alarm goes off before my feeding alarm. I am getting used to the extreme exhaustion. Although beyond tired I love being a mommy. I love knowing that I would do ANYTHING for that little boy, ANYTHING! There have been so many precious moments - when he smiles, when he stares at me, when something in the room catches his attention. It's all so magical to watch him experience life!
Landon is gaining weight and eating like a champ! He holds his head up for a minute or so at a time - he continues to impress me with his strength. He has a play mat that I put him under (pic below) that keeps him entertained for about 15 minutes. Sometimes Gabbie goes and lays with him! Other than that he spends majority of his time in my arms or in his bassinet. So far my favorite things have been the steam sterilizer bags, "The Lawn" drying rack (plus it makes a pile of bottles, breast pump accessories, ect. look cute!) and both of our favorites is definitely the wipes warmer!
Below there is a side-by-side pic of Landon at 36.5 weeks gestation and at two days old. It's amazing how well technology captured what he looked like!
His most recent stats at two weeks old were 7lbs 4ozs (he was down to 5lbs 13ozs at one point) and 20.75 inches

Introducing...
Landon Dimitri
Hard to believe that one week ago today, on July 10th, Landon came into my life. I have been savoring every moment and can not believe how fast it has gone by. He was born at 7:00PM, weighing 6lbs 9ozs, 19 inches and is perfectly precious! I am beyond elated and more in love than I could have ever imagined!
I had a very quick and easy delivery, literally pushed three times, and he was here! It was the most amazing experience, words can not even begin to describe! It by far has been the best blind date! The best part is knowing that he's mine to keep and it teaches you about a completely different level of love you can have for someone! Truly magical!
I will be updating you on how things are going with Landon, my favorite things as a mom, his favorite things as a baby and any other fun baby things I can think of!
I am also working on a new project, so stay tuned!

Made it to 39 Weeks...
I am surprised I am posting this week! After the last Doctors appointment I had, I was certain that LB's arrival would be days away! And even more so at my last appointment this past Monday. Even my Doctor is shocked I'm still pregnant! LB is looking great as am I - so I have been doing EVERYTHING I can think of to try and speed things up! At this point it's almost funny! In the meantime I guess I'm getting a head-start on my post baby exercise routine since I have been very active this last week. I am feeling great and still, surprisingly, very comfortable! Good news is that at this point, we are only days away from holding this precious boy! I am so excited! I can't even begin to describe what I am feeling!
Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful Independence Day!!

Full Term!!!
Whoa!!! We made it to 37 weeks! I can't believe I have a "full term" baby! I am so excited to meet this little guy! I am finding myself in his room a lot playing with his clothes trying to figure what outfits I want to see him in first or playing with all of his cute little things! Thank goodness LB is "LB" and not "LG" or else the little girls clothing economy would have a massive surge! There are just so many cute things and I can't seem to control myself when it comes to the clothes! He might just wind up being the best dressed baby in town! ;-) I had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything went great. The doctor said it could be any day now. Although there were times where we thought he was going to come very early, I'm almost getting the feeling that he might be late?!
I couldn't resist and had to go back and get another 4D ultrasound. I am addicted to looking at his sweet face and can not believe how much he keeps changing!

Food cravings: Cookies!!! Oreo's and Famous Amos! And Push Pops!
Anything making you queasy or sick? This heart burn is crazy! The Tagamet helps but nighttime is not a good time :-(

Belly button in or out? Flat
Happy or moody? So happy!
Looking forward to: Same as last week, holding my baby!

Four(ish) more weeks to go!
The bassinet actually made it! I finally feel like I have everything I need for this little boy! Well, except the crib. I suppose I should try and make a decision on which one I want ;-). Everything else has been great! Just a few more weeks until LB gets here!
Have a fabulous Wednesday!
Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Movement: He still manages to move around quite a bit. He has one of his feet planted in my ribs which is not comfortable :-(
