Easter Weekend Update

I can't believe it's Easter and summer is just around the corner!! Things have been moving right along for us, moving a little too quickly if you ask me!
Landon is doing wonderfully!!! This little guy amazes me each and every day! He is very talkative and his vocabulary is off the charts. He comes up with the funniest things to say and almost always has me cracking up :). The other morning I opened the fridge to get him some milk and he said, "got milk?!" A couple of his other favorite words and phrases are:
I love you
See you
Chocolate Milk
Oh come here
Come on now
Cool car
And he basically states everything he sees, all the time. Ie; fan, light, car, truck, window, moon, baby, potty, stroller, high chair, paper, iPad, iPod, bucket, ball, ect. He's pretty much at the point where you can ask him to say anything and he will. And as we recently found out (the hard way) he loves saying what we say... a little parrot :0 Time to really watch what we say!!
Potty training is right around the corner for us. For the last month he comes to me and tells me every time he's going to the bathroom. Part of me wants to wait but he's showing interest in the potty and I feel like he gets it... he understands the concept of going in the potty. Fingers crossed!!
Landon is the happiest outside. He'll spend an hour throwing rocks. He also loves to sweep, rake or basically do anything that we're doing.

This morning we went to a local Easter Egg Hunt. There was tons to do and Landon was able to run around for a couple of hours. All was good until he saw the field of Easter Eggs, then he just wanted the eggs. After kicking and screaming for 15 minutes Landon was able to go get some eggs and all was good once again.

Hope you are all enjoying the Holiday weekend!

Hello Spring!!

It has been a minute since I have been able to sit down and work on my blog. There have been so many changes and I have been so so so busy... oh and my baby is almost two! Which in my case means I am constantly on the go and relishing the few moments of downtime I actually have!
Spring is here and oh so many projects are under way at our (new) house. I promise (for real this time ;)) to do better about updating the blog and keeping everyone updated on Landon - who by the way is not only the most intelligent 20 month old I know but also one of the cutest! I know I'm his mom, but seriously!
Here are a couple of pics from the other morning and I promise to post again soon about what we've been up to!

Trick or Treat!

I can't believe Halloween is less than a week away! This weekend the local Mommy Organization we belong to put on a "Trick or Treat" morning where the little kiddo's could get dressed up and grab some sweet goodies. So this morning that is exactly where we headed!
Landon loved going into the small businesses and picking out his own candy and putting it in his bag. He was such a trooper! And oh so stinkin' cute!!!
I also found out that when I leave him with his bag of candy - he can, and will open them :0

Pumpkin Patch

What a difference a year makes! This time last year Landon wasn't even walking and this year he ran all over the place. Although there were a lot of pumpkins, farm animals and things to play on he had the best time running around. He is so into exploring and it is amazing to watch him find excitement in the little things... like throwing hay!
He keeps a constant smile on my face :)

Hello Fall!

I can't believe it's Fall! I have to admit the summer is my favorite time of year. How can you beat laying out in the warm sun, working on your tan while sipping a blended cocktail?! Fall definitely comes in second though. It means football has started and the Holiday's are just around the corner. For me that means decorating, an excuse to go shopping (not that I needed one) and lots and lots of baking and cooking!

We still have Landon's 15 month appointment to go to so I don't have his updated stats, but he is doing great! He is talking up a storm saying all kinds of words. He has become an expert at copying the things we do. He has an endless supply of energy and sometimes that parlays into a stubborn tantrum because he does not always get what he wants... but I guess thats all part of it. Although it's far from funny, sometimes I can't help but laugh!

We have been out and about a lot! We have been to baseball games, football games, taking little trips and spending a lot of time on the go. I promise I'll get better at updating the blog. I'm hoping with the cooler weather we will find more creative activities indoors! :)

There is a lot of exciting stuff going on and I hope to be able to share it all soon!

We woke up to an incredibly cold morning today. The air was still and the sun was shinning... it was a perfect fall morning! So off to the park we went!

Landon is One Photo Shoot

I love getting this face photographed! I am now looking back at his newborn, three, six and nine month pics and am so happy I have them. I can not believe a year has gone by so fast and my sweet little baby is now a precious little boy. He has grown up so much! Today at the grocery store he said "Hi!" and "Bye" to everyone that walked by our cart. People would stop and talk to him and he would talk right back - some words, some babble. He makes me smile so much my cheeks hurt every day! He is such an incredible little being and I can not (but I totally can) wait to watch him continue to grow into the person he will become!

And how cute is this face!?!

Birdie, Bogey, Hole-In-One! Landon Turned ONE!

Well a little over a month after the event isn't too bad! There has been so much going on and the summer is flying by! I wanted to share a few photo's from Landon's First Birthday Par-Tee. I figured he'll only turn one once so mind as well have a big party (who am I kidding, I'll take any excuse to throw a big party)!

I decided to do a golf theme. I wanted to do something different that wasn't completely played out within our group of friends so golf it was!

The Birthday Party was held at a local Country Club close to where we live and they did a wonderful job! See other details below the pictures. I can't wait until (well, actually I can) he turns two! Thank you so very much to everyone who helped make Landon's party a success! Especially my mom who spent many late nights with me making sure all the details I had envisioned were perfect! And now I want to go order another cake to eat!

This is the favor table! The chalkboard is a few of my favorite pictures of Landon from the time he was born until just a few days before the party. We also passed out visors, water bottles and some yummy green candy with golfing ribbon tied around them.

I made sure that there was plenty for all the kiddo's to do. We set up a mini golf course,  a "chip and putt" station as well as had a bunch of toy golf clubs and balls floating around.

We served organic "green" salad, "club" sandwiches, apple "slices," orange "wedges" amoung some other goodies!

This cake was beyond yummy!

Landon's cake was made especially for him eliminating the ingredients that he has an FPIES reaction to :)
