On to the next Chapter...

Before you begin a new chapter you have to come to a close on the previous one, and that is what we are doing. The time has come to say good bye to our condo. Part of me is really happy to leave - the neighbor upstairs is beyond rude :0.  Packing has been a blast - not really lol! It's been nice to go through things, organize and purge what we no longer need. It's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate!

Now, in our last few days it is time to start packing Landon's nursery. It's extremely bittersweet. It brings me back to the feelings I had when I was putting it together. I don't think I have ever done anything in my life with so much love and thought. I wanted a room that was catered specifically to Landon and wanted it to reflect the people he came from. As I get ready to take down the hot air balloon mobile, the golf club canvases and the map of the United States I think about the fun/dynamic/and at times impulsive connection between two people. Also the love and excitement... and stories that go with those pieces and the background of pre LB.

I remember having a hard time leaving the hospital with him - it was where he was brought into the world and I held it very sentimental. I know it won't be easy packing up the last of Landon's things, but I know it's just the end of this chapter. And for better and greater chapters to come, we must close this one.

I am blessed with one of the happiest, most inquisitive and intelligent babies I've ever met and at the end of the day, all that matters is he's happy and healthy. Everything else will fall into place - what is meant to be, will be! I can't wait for the next chapter in our lives and am excited to see what the future holds!

Eleven Months

I don't know how it's even possible... my sweet boy is eleven months! He has filled my heart with so much love and happiness and it keeps getting better and better!
Landon is doing great! He still doesn't enjoy sitting still next to the chalkboard but I got some cute pics anyway. He loves reading books and has so many words now. He loves playing with his toys and he still gets a kick out of his doggies. Gabbie can run around in circles and Landon falls over laughing, it's the cutest thing ever! We have a few more safe foods, watermelon being his favorite. He took his first steps just after her turned nine months and now he's all over the place. I don't know his current stats but he continues to grow out of his clothes daily (thank goodness for his mommy's tall genes)! He surprises me daily with all the new things he does and how smart he is. I am so lucky to have him as my baby!!

Playing peek-a-boo!

His little personality is awesome!

Life's Precious Moments

Life has been so crazy and I have had so much on my plate.

Landon hasn't been himself today. I'm not sure if he is having a mild reaction from FPIES or maybe he is coming down with something. So as I lay here writing this, thinking of the millions of things i need to do, my baby boy is curled up on my chest fast asleep. And that is more important than anything.

I am so blessed to be his mommy and be a part of his life! It's amazing how much I love this little being!

Landon's First Baseball Game

I'm on a roll! Landon is busy playing with a new toy so I apparently have some time! :)

A couple of weeks ago I took Landon to his first baseball game. I am a major lover of all sports especially the SF Giants. Although I am from Southern California I grew up in the Bay Area so of course I love my Bay Area teams! I thought what better game to take him to than a Giants vs Dodgers game. We had so much fun and Landon LOVED it! When the crowd clapped so did he and he was so enamored looking around the park. It was the coolest thing ever to watch him take it all in!
And of course, the Giants won!

Swimming, Floating, Relaxing and Sleeping

...this pretty much sums up Landon's first time in the swimming pool! We have been having some great warm weather so I decided to have a swim date with my little dude!
I put him in his little swim trunks, slathered him in sunscreen (yes, I use sunscreen), blew up a floatie and we were pool ready!
When I fisrt got in with him he was a little apprehensive but soon loved it! Splashing in the water and having fun being pulled around. I then put him in his little turtle floatie and noticed that he was practically dozing off. This wasn't his normal nap time so I thought it was hilarious! I let him sleep-float for a few minutes then took him out where he remained asleep on a lounge chair. It was the cutest thing! He cracks me up... every time he's in the car, stroller and now the pool - he falls asleep!
I am hoping to get him into swim lessons soon!

Ten Months!

I have meant to post several times in the last few weeks... so many exciting things going on! For starters my precious sweet baby boy is ten months old! I am in disbelief! In two month he will be a year old... I feel like a broken record so I'm going to stop saying how fast time is going but rather how much I enjoy  every second I spend with this incredible baby boy!
We are still struggling with his FPIES. He has had a couple of trips to the emergency room but we have also found some more safe foods for him as well. He can now eat mozzarella cheese, chicken, turkey, apples, pears, mangoes, beets and carrots! I will elaborate on what didn't work in another post. I still get anxiety like you wouldn't believe when we try new foods but I am thrilled that we have found a good group of safe foods!
Landon checked out great at his ten month checkup! 19 pounds two ounces and 29 1/2 inches long. He is still around the 45th-50th percentile for weight and in the 90th percentile for height. He's a long and lean little guy!

In the next few days I will try and post pics from his first baseball game and his first time in the swimming pool! We have been so busy!

PS - Landon took his first (unassisted) steps a couple weeks ago and is now walking!!!

Nine Month Photo Session

I don't have much to say because I think the pictures speak for themselves. I am so in love with my baby boy and can't get over his cuteness! Landon was in a great mood and we were able to get so many great shots! These are a few of my favorites!

Thank you Jenna for capturing such precious moments!!

Out and about!

Napa
Last week the weather was gorgeous here so we had a couple of very fun ventures out! We live about 40 minutes from Napa so on Monday I packed up the baby and the car and headed to one of my favorite resorts. The Carneros Inn is not only a great place to stay (rooms are individual little houses w/private backyards and they love pets), the property is gorgeous! There is a restaurant there called The Farm, bocce ball courts and a large patch of grass where we spent hours playing! Landon loves his little wagon!

Hi-Five with Courtney!

San Francisco
Wednesday the temperatures were in the 80's so we went over to San Francisco (about 20 min with no traffic). The weather was gorgeous! Again we took his little wagon and walked around the Embarcadero, one of my favorite spots in SF!

I am having so much fun with this little guy! He is the best baby and is so easy to get out with!

Nine Months

Seriously?!? I have a nine month old?? That's just crazy! And this last month has been even crazier! So many new things going on! But first things first! Ever since I was 15 weeks pregnant I have been drawing chalkboards and diligently standing in front/next to them. Then carrying that on once Landon came along. Well the last couple of months it has been the hardest thing ever to get him to sit in front of that damn board! I am seriously about to give up! Gabbie poses, the stuffed animals are there with some other toys and for the life of me I can not get this kid to sit still long enough to snap a picture. No joke, the most challenging part of parenthood so far!! Here are a few pics that I did get!

Isn't he the cutest!? His personality is really starting to shine through, well it always has, but now more than ever! He loves talking "babbling" with people and has that magnetic personality where people can't help but go up to him and have a conversation. He now says "all good" along with ball, mama and away. All good comes from me saying "you're all good" every time he falls, gets a boo boo, drops something, ect.

We have continued to struggle with his FPIES. To date his only safe foods are peaches and mangoes. We have had a couple trips to the emergency room, that doesn't get any easier but I am realizing that is just a part of how it is going to be. We saw a specialist yesterday and have a good plan in place and hopefully things go smoothly! Fingers crossed!

Landon continues to gain weight and is growing like a champ! Still a long and lean little guy at 29 inches long and 19 pounds 4 ounces.

He now has three visible teeth! And all three of them came in in one week! Poor little guy :( Fortunately it didn't seem to phase him too much and we got through it just fine!

Everyday I fall more and more in love with that little boy. I am so happy he came into my life and am loving every minute!!! The weather has been gorgeous here in the bay area so we have been getting out a lot! I will try and post some pics later today of our recent adventures!

Pre- Easter, Easter Egg Hunt

One of the many perks about living in the area that I do is that there are a TON of fun festivities for the little ones. Today was the first Easter Egg hunt along with a bunch of other fun games that Landon is to young to take part in, but I took him anyway :)
He had a lot of fun meeting the Easter Bunny (for the first five seconds) then grabbing some Easter Eggs. He is still pretty young for this kind of stuff but it was so much fun watching all the other kids! Landon especially liked the fire truck!
Hope you are all enjoying your week and looking forward to Easter Sunday!
